The Shelby Shuffle, and a special treat for Grandma

Most of you know that baby girl Shelby is now 11 months old, and shows no interest in crawling. She prefers to scoot around on her little tushie, which is probably easier for her given that she's a bit....um....bottom-heavy. Here she is in action:



And sorry, Grandma, but Shelby loves her new Snakie. Her brother Noah received a Snakie a few weeks ago and she loves to play with it. So, at my first opportunity, I decided to get her one of her own (plus she got ripped off at Christmas, receiving only half the amount of presents that her brothers did, and someday she'll know that and I'll have to explain that injustice to her). I DID give her other options, such as a flamingo with long legs or an ugly (but pink) teddy bear with long arms, but upon laying eyes on her beautiful orange, sparkly Snakie, Shelby immediately rejected those lesser creatures.

    You TOTALLY should have. We didnt even get a lane til a bit after 8:30. Everyone had fun! We might do it again some time. Tuesday nights everything is only a buck!!
    Where was the video of Shelby taken? LOVE that she loves the snake! So cute.

    Does this mean that her career will be as a snake charmer in some rusty carnival? Nah, but prepare for her to thumb her way to the Amazon after her high school graduation as a herpetologist (scientists who study reptiles and amphibians, for the science-weary).
